My husband had a car loan with Citi Fiancial. I lost my job and customer service told me that as soon as I received unemployment if I made a payment I could skip two months.
Instead they sold the loan to Drive Financial. We never even received a letter. Drive Financial called my sister and told her everything about the loan and the non-payment. I was so embarrassed I could of died.
It is bad enough to be in this situation and to have someone tell everyone else. I tried to talk to Drive Financial about our payments but I was told that they are not authorized to talk to me.
I am the one who would make sure they got the payment. Apparantly they thought they were authorized to talk to my sister.
